Today, the public entertainment and preparations commence downtown Alta at 12:30 CET. The FL-junior and FL-600 mushers will hit the trail with one-minute intervals starting at 13:00 CET, heading towards Kautokeino on the first leg.

This year’s Finnmark Race is also the IFSS World Championship. By the end of the race we will have four world champions; one for each of the three distances, and one amongst those who race with pure-breed polar dogs (RNB).

We hope to see as many people as possible in Markedsgata, Alta Saturday mid-day!

If you cannot be in Alta, you can follow TV shows and live streams at Norwegian broadcaster NRK or at iFinnmark. The latter is behind a paywall, the price for which is 0,1 € for one month.
