Results FL1200
FL1200 starts already 9th of March. You can follow the contestants online, on Tuesday the mushers will reach Kirkenes and start their journey back to Alta. We expect the winner of FL1200 to the finish in Alta the night between Thursday and Friday. This year the race is 200 km longer, therefore it will be very exiting to follow the race.
Results FL500
FL500 starts Saturday 10th of March at 13:00 in the crowd in central Alta. You can follow the contestants online all the time. We expect the first contestants to the finish early Tuesday morning on the 13th. Many mushers will follow throughout the day and Wednesday. At 17:00 on Wednesday the 14th there will be a victory ceremony in central Alta for the FL500 class.
Results FL Junior
FL Junior starts Saturday 10th of March at 13:00 in the crowd in central Alta. You can follow the contestants online all the time. We expect the first contestants to the finish Sunday afternoon on the 11th. Many mushers will follow throughout the evening and night. At 11:00 on Monday the 12th there will be a victory ceremony in central Alta for the FL Junior class.

Who’s winning?
To win Finnmarksløpet require strong dogs, a good musher and a great plan. Everything needs to og right. In long distance dogsledding you also have some obligatory rest periods, how to plan the rest is up to the mushers. Therefore, the race can be exciting all the wat to the finish line. Maybe the leader must stop for rest and the chasers will catch up. Maybe the musher that has rested the most have fitter dogs? This is why it is so interesting to follow the GPS Tracking that we provide. Here you can see updates from all the mushers every five minutes.
