Important information about tickets to the banquets:

Banquet tickets for musher and handler will be placed in the info folder that is distributed at the registration office upon registration. Running with more handlers, they must buy tickets in the usual way. Tickets are purchased at our «Headquarter».

Closing banquet FL-1200: FL-1200 musher and handler have free entrance.
Musher and handler in the FL-500 have free entrance to the FL-500 closing bank. If you want tickets for the closing bank FL-1200 on Saturday, tickets will be bought in the usual way.

For FL-junior participants we will have a closing banquet after awards ceremony Monday 10th March.


Monday 4 March

The Finnmarksløp’s Headquarter is located in Kunnskapsparken in the center of the city and in the tent next to Kunnskapsparken from March 5th until March 18th. Racecourse, press center, secretariat and sale of Finnmarksløpet’s profile articles. You can also buy our profile items at Sport1 in Amfi Shopping Center.

The registration office is open from Tuesday 5th March for submission of mandatory lists and verification of mandatory reserve feed and check of vaccination certificates. There will be vaccine control and control of rabies and echinococcal treatment – especially for foreign riders.

Norwegian participants: The registration office will check that the chip numbers on the dog forms match the chip numbers on the certificates, as well as the verification of vaccination certificates. The registration office closes on Thursday, March 7th at. 1400, meet up in good time.

Thursday March 7th

Drop of depot bags

09:00-15:00 Skillemoen (look at map)

Participants must lift their bags on the pallet and sign the list of bags. Bags on the ground will be left behind. There will be officers present upon submission. The trailers run from Alta Thursday at 15:00

Mandatory musher meeting for first-time riders (rookies)

All first-time drivers and at least one trades per team must participate.

Opening ceremony for the Borealis Winter Festival

18.45 – 19.00 Meeting before the opening of the opening show. Scandic Alta at the entrance to DNB, meet precisely. Attendance obligation for all participants.
19.00 – 19.30 The park, Alta Center, defilation at the opening of the Borealis Winter Festival.

Start banquet 2019

20:00 – 22:00 Scandic Hotel Alta. SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge’s starting banquet.

Distribution of start number, entertainment, dinner and enjoyment.

Purchase of tickets: Finnmarksløpets service tent outside Kunnskapsparken
Ticket sales start Wednesday March 6th at. 12:00, no advance reservation.
Entrance fee: 600, –

Friday, March 8th

All participants and at least one handler must participate.

The official opening of Finnmarksløpet 2019

17:45 – 18:00 At start and finish area – Alta center

Start of FL-1200 participants in Finnmarksløpet 2019

18:00 – 19:30 At start and finish area – Alta center. Participants start with a two-minute interval. There will be control of compulsory equipment before starting.

Start for participants in FL Junior, and FL-500 Finnmarksløpet 2018 (NM 8-dog class long distance 2019)

13:00 – 14:30 At start and finish area – Alta center

Participants start at one minute intervals. There is a three-minute break between classes. FL Junior starts first.

All day FL-500 class entrant comes to finish line in Alta center. We encourage all who can, to meet as many participants as possible at the finish line.

Scandic Hotel Altas Finishing banquet for FL-500 

19:00 – 24:00 at Scandic Hotel Alta. Banquet with a short official program, refreshment and simple dining.

Purchase of tickets: Finnmarksløpets service tent, outside Kunnskapsparken

Deadline for the purchase of tickets for the closing bank 500 km: Wednesday 13th March at 14:00.

Entrance fee: 450, –

Friday, March 15th

The first teams in the FL-1200 class enters the finish line downtown Alta centre. 

At the start and finish area in Alta center. The first time pass time varies. Follow on www.finnmarkslopet.no during the course to keep you updated.

Finishes for the FL-1200 will normally take place until Sunday 17th March. We encourage all who can, to meet as many participants as possible at the finish line.

 


Saturday, March 16th

All day FL-1200 class entrant comes to finish line in Alta center. We encourage all who can, to meet as many participants as possible at the finish line.

Official end of the year’s Finnmarksløp.
