Several of the teams in the lead FL-1000 ended up on the wrong route between Jotka and Skoganvarre Saturday evening.

- This is of course regrettable, both for the mushers involved  and for us as organizer. The Race Marshall and TD’s have gathered available information in this case, and we see that that the participants' experience is that this particular spot has not been sufficiently marked. The teams involved have ended up following the FL-500 route a few kilometers, before they turned around and got back on the right track toward Skoganvarre. Based on the information available to us now, there is nothing we can do about what happened, but we will go through our routines later, says Hallvig.

The Race Marchall says that all mushers carry a map and GPS with a tracking device, and should be aware of where they are traveling at all times. At present, no formal protests have been launched in this matter.
